Adoption Fees

It has become law this year in this area that every cat must be microchipped - http://www.dip.qld.gov.au/local-government/new-legislation.html

We have, therefore, had each cat/kitten microchipped but must pass on this cost (with a large discount) to new owners.

Vaccinations

We offer discounted vaccinations for the first year only for each cat/kitten adopted through us. This requires 2 shots 4 weeks apart. This can be arranged through the Vet listed on the "Vets offering discounted desexing and/or vaccinations" list given to you at the time of adoption. Your original Adoption Certificate must be produced in order for the Vet to pass on the discount to you and you are responsible for the cost of this direct to the vet at the time of the procedure.

$25 each shot (total of $50)

Desexing

All adult cats are already desexed and there is no charge for this.

Cats under 6 months are not desexed but discounted desexing is available. Refer to the "Vets offering discounted desexing and/or vaccinations" list given to you at the time of adoption. Your original Adoption Certificate must be produced in order for the Vet to pass on the discount to you and you are responsible for the cost of this direct to the vet at the time of the procedure.

The prices you are charged are the prices we are charged. We do not make any profit and the Vets carry the cost of the discount. The cost of worming, defleaing and everyday running of Cat Rescue is borne by us and we do not pass these charges on to you.
